Hartleys has won the 2013 award for "Corporate Finance Team of the Year - Australia"
The awards are presented by Acquisition International at the 2013 Finance Awards and celebrate achievement, innovation and brilliance from an international perspective.
"Strong ties help Hartleys weather the storm"
Hartleys finished the 2012 financial year with a net profit of $9.6 million, "easily outperforming harder-hit rivals who either recorded steep earnings falls or finished in the red". Hartleys was almost alone in lifting revenues, thanks to increased fees from corporate advisory work, deal-making and capital raisings.
Hartleys won the award for "Best Corporate Deal" at the 20th annual Stockbrokers Awards Charity Dinner in June 2013, in recognition of the successful placement of shares in Sirius Resources NLThe awards are presented in recognition of achievements attained during the past year, judged either by a group of peers, or representatives of "the buy side". Hartleys won thw award for "Corporate Desk of the Year" at the inaugural Australasian Securities Dealers Association (ASDA) Capital Market Awards
Winners were judged over the course of the 2011 – 2012 financial year by an organising committee comprised of Senator Mathias Cormann, Shadow Assistant Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Financial Services and Superannuation, Jamie Coote and Chris Oldfield from the Australasian Securities Dealers Association (ASDA), and David Tasker from Professional Public Relations. In a transaction in respect of which Hartleys advised, YTC Resources Limited won the award for "Best Small Cap Deal"
YTC Resources Limited was awarded the "Best Small Cap Deal" in recognition of the development funding transaction YTC agreed with Glencore International AG to develop the Hera and Nymagee Projects.
Hartleys is YTC's Corporate Adviser, and negotiated the funding transaction with Glencore to raise $158 million for YTC.
Hartleys has been adviser to YTC Resources since June 2009, whenYTC acquired the Hera and Nymagee Projects. Since this time, Hartleys has raised over $60 million in equity forYTC, and more recently, negotiated a $158 million developement funding package with Glencore.

Hosted by WA Business News in 2012, the prestigious 2012 40under40 Gala Awards was attended by over 900 guests including the Governor, Premier and Lord Mayor.
Each year, the awards recognise the significant corporate achievements and philanthropic pursuits of Western Australia's highest achieving entrepreneurs under 40 years of age.
